CA Neeraj Udhwani, 33, originally from Jaipur and working in Dubai, was one of the victims killed in the recent terror attack in Pahalgam.
On April 16, 2025, Neeraj and his wife Arushi travelled to Shimla through Chandigarh to attend a friend’s wedding. After the wedding, on April 20, Neeraj went to Kashmir while the rest of his friends returned. He had planned to return to Dubai this week after finishing his vacation in Kashmir.
Timeline of Events:
April 16, 2024: Neeraj and his wife Arushi travelled from Dubai to India and reached Shimla via Chandigarh. The cause for their visit was to attend the wedding of one of his close friends. It was a joyful event where they met up with friends and family. Post-Wedding Plans: Following the wedding festivities, the majority of the friends travelled back to their homes or resumed their work. However, Neeraj had decided to prolong his journey further and booked a brief vacation to Kashmir. His wife, Arushi, did not join him on his tour. April 20, 2024: Neeraj went alone to Kashmir for a break. He decided to unwind and relax in the beauty of Kashmir before returning to Dubai. Tragic Incident: Unfortunately, during his journey to Kashmir, Neeraj became one of the victims of a terror attack in Pahalgam.
