The Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs (CBIC) has issued instructions for the closure of the Integrated Check Post, Attari for all types of incoming and outgoing passengers and movement of goods.

The instruction was issued in reference to Instruction No. 06/2025Customs dated 26.04.2025 and Instruction No. 08/2025-Customs dated 05.05.2025, which communicated the Ministry of Home Affairsdirections on the closure of the Integrated Check Post, Attari.

As per the latest Office Memorandum (OM No. 25022/05/2025-Imm. dated 07.05.2025), the Ministry of Home Affairs has granted a one-time exemption to the earlier OM (OM No. 25022/05/2025-Imm. dated 24.04.2025). This exemption permits the entry of 162 freight trucks (listed in the annexure of the OM No. 25022/05/2025-Imm. dated 07.05.2025) carrying perishable agricultural goods exported from Afghanistan into India through ICP, Attari.
