CBIC Issues Notification on the Goods Imported (Transshipment Conditions) Regulations, 2025
The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has announced the Goods Imported (Conditions of Transshipment) Regulations, 2025.
As per the Notification No. 30/2025-Customs (N.T.) dated April 24, 2025, "In exercise of the powers conferred by section 157, read with sub-section (3) of section 54 and section 158 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs hereby makes the following regulations, further to amend the Goods Imported (Conditions of Transshipment) Regulations, 1995".
CBIC has made changes to update the earlier Goods Imported (Conditions of Transshipment) Regulations, 1995. These Changes are as follows:
- These rules will be known as Goods Imported (Conditions of Transshipment) Regulations, 2025. They will take effect from the date they are officially published.
- There will be no fees for applications made to transship imported goods for all customs stations.
