CBSE Class 9th English Syllabus 2024-25: The Central Board of Secondary (CBSE) has released the latest syllabus of English class 9th 2024-25. Both English language and literature have been mentioned in our article. The updated (CBSE) English Syllabus for the session (2024-25) was issued recently. With the New Syllabus students will be able to create a manageable timetable and proper strategy consequently. The syllabus was issued on the 23rd of March,2024. However, no special changes have been made either in the (CBSE) English Class 9th Syllabus or in the exam pattern of the academic session(2024-25).
As per the latest CBSE Class 9th English Syllabus (2024-25), it will be helpful for the students to get an idea of the weightage of each subject and marks of the various sections,i.e. (Reading, Writing, Grammar, and Literature). This will be supportable for the students to understand the whole syllabus and to be more focused on the topics and chapters which hold a higher weightage as it will save the student’s precious time. The whole syllabus of CBSE Class 9th English (2024-25) is mentioned below:

As per The CBSE Class 9th English Exam it will be for 100 marks consequently the syllabus is divided into three sections, marking scheme will be as given below:

Section A-Reading Skills:
1. Reading conception via given Unseen Passage:(20 marks)
a.Factual Passage of around 400 to 500 words which will mainly include approx. eight objective questions,i.e., multiple choice questions (8 marks).
b.Case-based passage(with visual input-statistical data,chart etc).0f around 250- 300 words which will include four short type of questions as well as four objective questions (including multiple choice questions) to test the vocabulary knowledge of the students. (12 Marks).
Section Writing skills and contextual grammar. (30 Marks).
2. Writing Section (20 Marks):
a.An informal letter based on any kind of situation or descriptive paragraph like (person/place/event/diary entry) around 150 to 200 words (10 Marks).
b.A story by a given theme, beginning line, etc in around 150 to 200 words (10 Marks).
3. Grammar (10 marks):
The Grammar syllabus is as follows:
Accuracy of spelling, punctuation and grammar will be examined via gap-filling, Editing, and Transformation exercises (4 Marks).
Dialogue Writing on a provided theme (6 Marks).
Section C-Literature (30 Marks)
The literature will be given based on extracts from poems, prose, and plays to check the conception of themes and ideas through understanding and imagination.
