Customs Brokers Licensing Examination 2026: Key Details, Exam Pattern and Candidate Guidelines
The Customs Brokers Licensing Examination (CBLE) is conducted by the National Academy of Customs, Indirect Taxes and Narcotics (NACIN) under Regulation 6 of the Customs Brokers Licensing Regulations, 2018, as amended. The Customs Brokers Licensing Examination 2026 is scheduled to be held on March 17, 2026. The said examination will be held in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode and will include 150 bilingual (English/Hindi) MCQs, totalling 450 marks, with a 60% qualifying score (270 marks).
The registration for the said examination was open from October 14, 2025, to November 13, 2025, at the CBLMS Portal. Candidates appearing for the examination will be awarded 3 marks for every correct answer, and one mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer. Candidates are required to secure at least 270 marks (60%) to clear the examination.
To make candidates aware of the examination, they will be provided with a dummy question paper on the NACIN website, i.e., https://www.nacin.gov.in/, under the tab <Examination> <Customs Broker> <Practice Test>. Candidates having any queries regarding the examination should contact the details specified under the ASSISTANCE section within the same tab.
Candidates will not be provided entry into the examination hall in the absence of a printout of the Admit Card and a valid identity document in original {Aadhar, PAN Card or Passport}.
Candidates are not allowed to enter the examination hall carrying items including watches, books, pens, pencils, paper, chits, magazines, and electronic gadgets (including mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, headphones, pen/buttonhole cameras, scanners, calculators, storage devices, etc.). To start the examination, candidates will be required to enter their Roll Number (as displayed on the Admit Card) and password (PAN number).
The admit card for the Customs Brokers Licensing Examination will be made available at the registered email ID of candidates 12 days prior to the examination.
