Delhi Govt Transfers Over 120 Grade-I (DSS) Officers in Major Administrative Reshuffle

The Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, Services-I Branch, Services Department, has issued an Order No. 160 (No. F.55/05/2025/S-I), dated April 23, 2026, announcing the transfer and posting of a large number of Grade-I (DSS) officers working mainly in the GST department with immediate effect.

The order includes a long list, mentioning the names of the officers who have suffered the shift. This list not only includes the officials’ names but also mentions the department they are presently employed in and the department they have now shifted to.

According to the order, over 120 officers have been transferred to a different department from their present one. For instance, several officers who were earlier posted in GST offices have now been moved to departments such as Education, the CEO office, DT&T (Department of Trade and Taxes), Central Jail, Finance, Health & Family Welfare, and other administrative branches.

This large-scale reshuffle is aimed at avoiding long postings in the same department and bringing fresh oversight to different departments.

There are also cases where officers have been moved from the education department to others and also where officers have been moved back into the education department. Some officers have been sent on a deputation basis, while some have also been brought back from deputation. The largest number of officers have been transferred to the Department of Trade and Taxes (DT&T), indicating a major reshuffle in the department.
