Divyanka Tripathi Reveals How Her CA Scammed Her of Rs. 12 Lakh
Celebrity TV actress Divyanka Tripathi, in a recent interview, revealed how she was scammed by a chartered accountant, because of which she lost Rs. 12 lakh. The actress has worked in a popular show called 'Yeh Hai Mohabbatein'.
She said that there was a CA who managed the accounts of many actors along with her for 2 years. As she used to work for 20-24 hours a day, and did not have time to find another CA or do proper inquiries. She further shared that the CA suggested investing in a Fixed Deposit (FD), saying that it would manage her taxes. He made her sign four cheques in the name of a bank, and the name of the bank appeared to be genuine. He also made her fill out forms with her name on top and the bank's name, promising that he would manage the rest of the process. However, the CA fraudulently added his name to the forms and vanished with Rs. 12 lakh, which Divyanka had invested.
Divyanka Tripathi’s story is spreading awareness among citizens. It reminds us that no matter how trusted someone seems, you should never trust them completely. One should never give full control of their finances without understanding what's being done with their finances.
