DU UG Admission 2022: More than 25% Confirm Admission in First Round, 2nd Allotment List by Oct 30
On October 30, 2022, Delhi University will release the second merit list for UG Admissions. According to available data, nearly 25% of students have confirmed admissions based on seats allotted in the first round of allotment.
First Allotment 2022 at Delhi University: Delhi University has begun the undergraduate programme admissions process. The first merit list for undergraduate programme admissions was made public by the university. This year, the institution is using the students’ CUET UG 2022 exam scores to determine who gets admitted.
The ‘Freeze’ option has been chosen by more than 25% of the 59,100 students who were admitted in the first round. Delhi University’s admissions were accessible to both Indian and international students, with more than 60% of students choosing to upgrade to a “higher program+college combination.”
The final day for students to choose an upgrade based on the initial allotment outcome was October 27, 2022. According to representatives from Delhi University, 15,398 students chose the “freeze” option, while 35,388 chose an upgrade.
Candidates can use the “Freeze” option to lock the “programme+college combination” they have been assigned and do not want to upgrade. Candidates who have received seat offers in the DU first round of counselling in accordance with the order of preferences chosen and are happy with the allotment procedure can select the Freeze option and finish the admissions process in the designated college.
Students have a two-day window to upgrade their options to a higher preference thanks to the university’s opening. Students who did not receive seats according to their first preference specified during the application process have the option to upgrade. In Round 1 of the seat allocation process, over 6,500 students reportedly received places according to the course and college of their first choice.
On October 27, 2022, Delhi University’s First Round of seat allocation came to an end with over 59,100 students confirming their admission to UG programmes. Based on the availability of seats, the university will announce the results of the second round of allotment. On October 30, 2022, the results of the CSAS allotment for the second round will be made public.
