DVC Recruitment 2022: DVC, which is also referred as Damodar Valley Corporation, is a government-owned power generator which operates in the Damodar River area of West Bengal and Jharkhand states of India. The corporation is responsible for operating both thermal power stations and hydel power stations under the ownership of Ministry of Power, Government of India. Damodar Valley Corporation is presently hiring professionals for the post of Overman and Mine Surveyor vacant in the department.
The recruitment for the mentioned posts (Group B) will be on a contractual basis for the operation of DVC Tubed Coal Mines at District- Latehar, Jharkhand. The period of engagement for the selected candidate will be considered valid for 3 years, and might be extended further for another 2 years as per the requirement. There are a total of 11 vacancies reserved for the recruitment, out of which 8 are reserved for the post of Overman and 3 are reserved for the Mine Surveyor post.

For Overman: Diploma in Mining Engineering from recognized Institute of repute with valid Overman’s Certificate of Competency issued by DGMS for Coal under CMR2017/CMR 1957. Also, candidates should have a minimum of three years of post-qualification working experience in open cast coal mines as Overman. Valid First Aid Certificate from any institute/ organization recognized by DGMS is also preferred to apply for the post.
For Mine Surveyor: Candidates who are willing to apply for the ongoing recruitment in the department must own a diploma in Mining & Mine Surveying from a recognized Institute of repute with valid Mine Surveyor’s Certificate issued by DGMS for Coal under CMR 2017/CMR 1957. Also, Minimum Two years of post-qualification working experience in opencast coal mines as Surveyor. Valid First Aid Certificate from any institute/organization recognized by DGMS.
The age limit preferred to apply for the posts of Overman and Mine Surveyor in the DVC recruitment is 55 years as on the closing date of the receipt of the applications.
The candidate selected for the posts vacant in the DVC department will be appointed for three years which may be extended for another three years. The performance of the candidate will be reviewed annually. The extension will however be considered after evaluation of performance every year.
The candidates selected for the posts in the DVC recruitment 2022 will be entitled to a pay scale of Rs. 42,000 to 45,000 per month.
