Exam Authority Clarifies After Videos Claim CUET-UG Answer Sheets Were Left Open
The National Testing Agency (NTA) denied claims of negligent handling of Central University Entrance Test (CUET-UG) 2024 answer sheets on Thursday, amidst the ongoing controversy over the purported NEET-UG paper leak.
“These are empty boxes that are stored outside the NTA hallway; nothing sensitive is contained therein. The media said that we never kept these boxes open. Also, there are enough security guards stationed at the location where the boxes are kept,” according to a post made by the exam body on X.

The explanation was made in response to accusations that answer sheets for the CUET-UG 2024 were contained in several widely shared films that showed boxes outside the agency’s premises.
The NTA website was hacked, according to a video that was refuted by the agency a few days prior. “Every web portal operated by the NTA is completely safe. Everything that has been hacked or compromised is false and deceptive,” the organization tweeted.
In order to be admitted to any of the Central Universities (CUs) as well as other participating universities (State Universities, Autonomous Institutions, Private Universities, and Deemed Universities) nationwide for the academic year 2024–2025, candidates must take the CUET–UG 2024 exam.
President Droupadi Murumu also brought up the NEET UG examination controversy during her speech in parliament today. “The recent irregularities and paper leaks are being dealt with strongly, and the government’s focus is on improving the exam process,” she stated.
