Many taxpayers face difficulties while getting a GST number. The steps of registration and cancellation could be confusing for some taxpayers. Therefore, to provide support, the CGST Delhi Zone shared a post where it encouraged taxpayers to reach out to them for assistance. The department also shared the contact email for the resolution of grievances. The taxpayers can contact CGST Delhi Zone via email at [email protected].

This comes after a few days ago, a user on platform X shared a screenshot from the LinkedIn post, where a Renowned Chartered Accountant Vinod Gupta, Founder of VG Learning Destination, claimed that despite applying 20 days ago, the registration had not been approved. This post was further shared on Platform X by Abhisek Raja Ram, where he tagged CBIC and accused the GST registration system of corruption. This post gained the attention of the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC).

CBIC explained that the application was assigned to the jurisdiction of the Delhi State GST authority and not the Central GST. It clarified what actually happened and rejected these claims while requesting not to spread false information on social media platforms.

In a recent post shared by CA Vinod Gupta, he expressed gratitude to the Finance Minister and the CGST Delhi Zone for solving issues related to GST registration and cancellation. Further, he also encouraged other taxpayers to reach out to the CGST Delhi Zone.

This shows how committed the GST department is towards offering support for GST-related issues.
