Finance Minister in talks with MeiTy to ban or block online gaming apps and platforms avoiding taxes

The Government of India has decided that it will soon block al all online gaming applications and platforms that do not pay GST, according to sources.

According to sources, the Finance Ministry and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeiTy) would collaborate to stern action on all gaming applications tempting gamers with ‘No GST, No Tax’ advertising.

Sources stated that MeiTy and DGGI (Directorate General of Goods and Services Tax Intelligence) are compiling list of those gaming platforms that are attracting gamers through the above-mentioned messages.

Most of the International gaming platforms consist of those offenders who are displaying ‘No GST, No TDS’ ads on their respective platform.
