Gandhar Oil Refinery Gets Clean Chit in Rs 3 Crore Cheque Dishonour Case After Complainant’s Absence:

Nashik Court has closed the Rs 3 crore cheque dishonour case against Gandhar Oil Refinery and its promoters after repeated non-appearance of the complainant and lawyer.
Company Cleared of Charges in Negotiable Instruments Act Case

Gandhar Oil Refinery (India) Limited has received a notice dated September 23, 2026, passed by the Court of the Addl. Chief Judicial Magistrate, Court No. 11, Nashik, in S.C.C. No. 301992/2014.
In 2014, Shri Saptashringi Ispat Private Limited (Complainant) had filed a complaint against Gandhar Oil Refinery (India) Limited, its promoters and certain members of the promoter group alleging dishonour of cheques of Rs 3 crore, in the Court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Nashik, under Sections 138 and 141 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881. The company had disclosed the matter under “Outstanding Litigation and Material Developments” in the Prospectus dated November 25, 2023.
The Court closed the case and cleared the accused of all the charges vide an order dated September 23, 2026. The judge did this because the complainant and their lawyer repeatedly failed to show up in court, and they did not ask for the hearing to be postponed.
According to the company, "no compensation, penalty or other monetary liability has been imposed on the Company by the order."
Gandhar Oil Refinery (India) Limited has disclosed the aforementioned information to the National Stock Exchange of India Limited (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange Limited (BSE) vide an Intimation dated September 24, 2026, issued under Regulation 30 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
