As per the official recruitment notification of GMDC, interested and eligible applicants can submit their applications for the post of Junior Engineer-Electrical on a contractual basis. However, there are only 5 vacant seats are available.

Age Limit for GMDC Recruitment 2023:

To apply for the above-mentioned post, the candidates should be under 30 years old as on May 2023. Any person who exceeds the desired age limit will not be entertained by the GMDC authority.

Qualification and Experience for GMDC Recruitment 2023:

According to the GMDC Recruitment 2023 notification, the eligible and intersted candidate for the post Junior Engineer-Electrical should have qualification of Diploma Electrical/Electronics.

Apart from that, they must hold an experience of 4 to 5 years in wind power project/ erection/ commissioning/ O&M/ SCADA. Not only that, they must have a good communication skill as well.

Note: Two-wheeler license is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities for GMDC Recruitment 2023:

The Electrical engineer is responsible for supporting operations and maintenance of GMDC’s Wind Turbine Generators (WTG) installed in Gujarat coordinate with the contractors, and report to management in GMDC’s corporate office.

He is responsible to:

• Monitor the performance of the WTGs through SCADA real-time monitoring system
• Support execution of operations and maintenance activities of critical components in the WTG including gearboxes, generators, yaw control mechanism and associated components
• Ensure adherence to half-yearly and yearly preventive maintenance, torquing of WTGs, and other key maintenance activities (e.g., generator alignment)
• Identify issues in performance of WTGs affecting availability or efficiency based on errors generated in the system and on – ground inspection of the assets
• Coordinate with supervisors and engineers working with the contract for timely resolution and restoration of the WTGs to reduce downtime
• Ensure adherence to maintenance and safety procedures, service schedule, and supply of materials required to maintain critical components in the WTGs as per contractual terms and industry best practices
• Review daily generation and breakdown reports shared by contractor and identify deviations in performance
• Prepare relevant reports on a frequent basis to ensure effective performance monitoring and escalate recurring issues to relevant authorities.

Selection Procedure for GMDC Recruitment 2023:

According to the official notification of GMDC Recruitment 2023, selection Committee will scrutinize the applications and short list the candidates based on merits. The short-listed candidates will be called for Interview or be interviewed through Video Conferencing as decided by GMDC.

The decision of the competent authority on selection of candidates will be final and no correspondence on this subject will be entertained. GMDC may cancel advertisement and decide not to proceed in the matter for engagement of Junior Engineer at any stage to accept or reject any or all applications without giving any explanation, whatsoever.

As per the official GMRC Recruitment 2023 notification, interested candidates may apply in the prescribed Performa (as per the attached Employment Application Form) along with self-attested copies of certificates of essential qualification and experience to the General Manager (Power & Purchase) GMDC Ltd., “Khanij Bhavan”, 132 Ft Ring Road, Near University Ground, Vastrapur, Ahmedabad 380052, clearly indicating the post applied for on the envelope within the stipulated time period. Applications received incomplete or after the due date will not be entertained.

The last date for receipt of the application is 15 days from the date of publication of the advertisement on the GMDC website.
