There has been an impressive growth in the National Pension System (NPS) during 2024-25, with over 12 lakh subscribers from the private sector registering under this prescribed scheme. The number of NPS subscribers has exceeded 165 lakh by March 2025. The NPS Vatsalya scheme, launched especially for minors in September 2024, has over one lakh registered subscribers.
The Assets Under Management (AUM) for both NPS and Atal Pension Yojana (APY) grew by 23% in 2024-25, reaching Rs 14.43 lakh crore by the end of March 2025.
