Government Extends Anti-Dumping Duty on TDI Imports Until March 2026 The government had earlier imposed anti-dumping duty on imports of Toluene Di-isocyanate (TDI) from the European Union and Saudi Arabia vide Notification No. 28/2021-Customs (ADD), dated 27th April 2021. This duty was levied to protect the local industry. Therefore, the Central Government has recently decided to extend the anti-dumping duty on the import of "Toluene Di-lsocyanate (TDI)" from the European Union and Saudi Arabia up to March 1, 2026, unless the government decides to cancel, revoke or replace it.

This decision was made after the Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR) initiated a review of this anti-dumping duty through notification No. 7/14/2024-DGTR, dated the 30th December 2024, where it requested the extension of the anti-dumping duty on the mentioned good. The anti-dumping duty is imposed when an imported good is being sold at a price lower than its normal value in the domestic market. This causes harm to the local industry. By continuing this anti-dumping duty, the government aims to protect the local manufacturers.
