The Goa Public Service Commission (GPSC) is inviting eligible candidates to fill out the post of Under Secretary(Legislative Affairs), Assistant Public Prosecutor and Assistant Research Officer in Department of Personnel, Department of Home (General) and Department of Goa Gazetteer and Historical Records.

Eligibility for GPSC Recruitment 2025:

As mentioned in the Official notification of GPSC Recruitment 2025, candidates should have the following eligibility mentioned below.

Under Secretary (Legislative Affairs)

Officers under the Central/State Governments/ Union Territories:

• Candidate holding analogous post on regular basis.
• Applicant with 5 years regular service in post in the scale of Rs.5500-175-9000(pre-revised) or equivalent

Note: ( The departmental officers in the feeder category who are in the direct line of promotion will not be eligible for consideration for appointment on deputation. Similarly, deputationists shall not be eligible for consideration for promotion).
(Period of deputation shall ordinarily not exceed 3 years).

Qualification and Experience for GPSC Recruitment 2025:

Candidates applying for the GPSC Recruitment 2025 must have the following qualifications and experience mentioned below.

Under Secretary (Legislative Affairs)

• Applicant must have a Degree in Law from a recognized University or equivalent.
• Candidate should have at least 7 years of experience in legal matters in a Central/State Government Department or Union Territory Administration.
  OR
• Aspirants should be qualified legal practitioners who is advocates or pleaders and have practiced as such for a period of 4 years.

Assistant Public Prosecutor

• Applicant must have a Degree in Law from a recognized University or equivalent.
• Candidate must have practiced as an advocate for two years.
• Knowledge of Konkani.

Desirable:

• Knowledge of Marathi

Assistant Research Officer

• Candidate should have at least 2nd Class Master’s Degree in Indian History or Political Science or Sociology from a recognized University or equivalent.
• Candidate at least one year experience in conducting research in the respective branch of study.(Qualifications relaxable at the Commission’s discretion in case of candidates otherwise well qualified).
• Knowledge of Konkani.

Desirable:

• Doctorate Degree in History or Political Science or Sociology.
• Knowledge of Marathi.

Age Limit for GPSC Recruitment 2025:

In line with the official GPSC Recruitment 2025 notification, the upper age limit for candidates applying for Assistant Public Prosecutor and Assistant Research Officer position should not be more than 45 years, whereas no age limit mentioned for Under Secretary (Legislative Affairs) position.

Scale Pay for GPSC Recruitment 2025:

Based on the official notification GPSC Recruitment 2025, candidate appointed for Under Secretary (Legislative Affairs) post in Department of Personnel will be hired on Deputation Basis for a 03 years which will not be extended further.
