Overview:

American Express is hiring an experienced Privacy Analyst at their Gurugram location. You will execute comprehensive reviews to support the Global Privacy Monitoring and Testing program. Conduct reviews across business processes, products, programs, and controls to evaluate adherence to the AXP Data Protection and Privacy Principles.  Lead second line oversight activities related to the evolving international privacy landscape (e.g. Cookies, Record of Processing, International Data Transfer, Data Subject Access Rights, etc.).

Roles and Responsibilities

• Conduct monitoring and testing reviews for identification of potential privacy risk.
• Perform privacy manual validation/quality assurance activities.
• Identify root causes of privacy control deficiencies and propose appropriate corrective action.
• Assess the adequacy of remediation activities, monitor through completion, and escalate past-due items.
• Prepare high-quality reports for presentation to stakeholders.
• Participate in discussions to clearly articulate issues and risks identified.
• Build strong, collaborative relationships with other risk oversight and assurance functions that conduct privacy-impacting reviews and audits.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Previous experience in an audit and/or testing role.
• Must be self-motivated, dependable, adaptable and detail oriented with a proven ability to work independently or within a team environment.
• Outstanding problem-solving and analytical skills, with strong learning agility and willingness to embrace and lead through change.
• Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills, able to create compelling arguments and influence across all levels of the organization.
• Excellent relationship building skills to partner effectively across diverse, cross-functional teams in complex and rapidly changing environments.
• Ability to multitask effortlessly and manage competing priorities under demanding deadlines.
