Great Move! ICAI to Launch Digital Platform to Connect CA Firms for Mergers and Growth
The president of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), CA Charanjot Singh Nanda, has made a great move to connect chartered accountant (CA) firms. He said ICAI is creating a digital platform specifically for CA firms, not for matchmaking of life partners, as the playful reference to Shaadi.com might suggest. This move is completely aimed at professionals to help the 96,000 CA firms in India explore mergers and alliances.
The idea behind this initiative is to encourage CA firms to collaborate and grow bigger, rather than stay small and fragmented. By doing so, the ICAI wants to enable the creation of large, home-grown CA firms that are strong enough to compete with the top 4 accounting firms, i.e., Deloitte, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), Ernst & Young (EY), and KPMG, internationally. Additionally, this platform will likely act like a bridge for CA firms to collaborate, discover potential partners for collection, and reinforce the overall CA ecosystem in the country.
As per the current status, the portal hasn't been developed completely yet and is still under development. CA professionals across the nation are so excited for the launch of the portal, as it promises to open up new opportunities for growth, partnerships, and professional networking within the CA community. A chartered accountant named Nitin Chawla (A.C.A.) has also shared this ICAI update on its Twitter handle.Great Move By ICAI President @CJSNandahttps://t.co/rgB5bPbnbr for CAs?
