GST Dept. Raids Actor Manchu Vishnu’s Offices Days Before ‘Kannappa’ Release

On June 25, 2025, Wednesday, the Goods and Services Tax (GST) officials carried out a raid at the office of Manchu Vishnu, who is an Indian actor and a film producer.

Manchu Vishnu and his team are busy promoting his film, named “Kannappa,” which is a devotional film. The film was released in theatres worldwide on June 27, 2025. The raid has just come ahead of the film Kannappa’s release.

According to the sources, GST officials have carried out raids at multiple locations; the offices of Manchu Vishnu in Kavuri Hills and Jubilee Hills are also included in this raid. The actor runs several businesses, along with film production, and also owns multiple offices.

The devotional drama is being promoted as one of the most expensive films ever made in Indian cinema. Vishnu has managed to bring in big stars such as Prabhas, Akshay Kumar, and Mohanlal for special lead roles.

Manchu Vishnu nowadays has been working hard to promote the film Kannappa and has concentrated his deep attention on it. Meanwhile, GST officials are being asked to check his production company’s accounts for expected tax evasion. When the matter was taken to the media, Vishnu said he had nothing to hide.
