GSTN Enables GST Payment Using Credit Card, Debit Card and UPI in Telangana
In an effort to promote digital payments, the Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN) has now enabled the GST payment through UPI (Unified Payments Interface), credit cards, and debit cards in Telangana. This facility is available in 29 states/union territories so far.
With this new GST update, the taxpayers in Telangana can easily pay their GST payment digitally using UPI and debit/credit cards powered by Rupay, MasterCard, Visa, and Diners. The facility has been enabled through the ICICI Bank and the Federal Bank.
The GST payment through UPI and debit/credit card has been enabled in Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, Odisha, Puducherry, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Tripura, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal.
A wide number of banks are connected to this system, including Axis Bank, Canara Bank, HDFC Bank, IDFC First Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Union Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, Bandhan Bank, State Bank of India, ICICI Bank, Federal Bank, Indian Bank, Dhanlaxmi Bank, Karnataka Bank, Karur Vysya Bank, and South Indian Bank.
