How to amend core fields of GST registration

How to amend core fields of GST registration: Amendment of Core Fields in registration in now available for taxpayers to make amendments.

Steps to follow to amend the core fields

Step 1 : Login with your valid credentials onGSTN portal Step 2 : On the home page click on "Services Menu" Step 3 : From services menu select the tab "Registration" Step 4 :From registration menu select the option of "Amendment of Registration Core Fields". Step 5 : When you click onAmendment of Registration CoreFields menu then the "business details menu" will open by default. Step 6 : Amendment of registration in core fields cover the following topics : Step 7 : Click on any of the above tab which you want to amend

• If anything related to business detailsneeds amendment then make the following changes here and click on "SAVE & CONTINUE"

• If anything related to Principal place of business needs amendment then make the following changes here and click on "SAVE & CONTINUE"

• If anything related to Additionalplace of businessneeds amendment then make the following changes here and click on "SAVE & CONTINUE"

• If anything related to promoters/partnersneeds amendment then make the following changes here and click on "SAVE & CONTINUE"

And also select from the drop down menu the name & designation of authorized signatory. Step 9 : Now you need to sign andsubmit the changes/amendments made. You have three options for submitting it

• Submit with DSC
• Submit with E signature
• Submit with EVC

Step 10 : Once you select any of the above option for submission, it will redirect you to the warning page. If the amendments you have made are all correct and you would like to proceed then click on proceed otherwise cancel. Step 11 : This proceed button will take you to the sign page in case of DSC and it will ask you to write the OTP sent on registered mobile number. On completion of the signing process. Step 12 : A success message will be displayed !!!
