HSBC is hiring an experienced Finance Operations Specialist-GSC’s at their Bangalore location. The role holder is to ensure service standard is met so as to achieve operations excellence and the Company objectives. Handling Financial Operations requests with the required level of accuracy with attention to detail using strong analytical and logical reasoning skills.
The complete details of this job are as follows:
Creating payment forms and getting the payments approved
Creating/issuing receipts for incoming funds & Matching
Capturing the executive summary on the accounts and sharing with all stakeholders
Reconciliation of Funds/Un allocated cash
Liaising with Broker/Underwriting for collection of Debts and reduction of PDD’s (Provisional to Doubtful debts)
Reviewing of Single Line Unallocated-cashes and matching appropriately
Reconciliation and matching of Unallocated-cash Bulk payments received for more than 10 policies
Reviewing the outstanding payments and Unallocation cashes to prepare a Refund Listing
Account Modification & Termination
Agent Commission Payment
Campaign Commission payment
GST Commission Payment
Refund Premium Payment
Staff Reimbursement
Vendor Payments
Magnitude Reporting
Bank & Treaty reconciliation
Creating payment/Transfer forms and getting the payments approved
Creating/issuing receipts for incoming funds & Matching
Capturing the executive summary on the accounts and sharing with all stakeholders
Provide Expert Technical Support to the Team members / Process Lead
Identify, facilitate and implement process improvement ideas to improve efficiency
Process improvements to be identified and implemented
Requirements.
Graduate / post-graduate degree in accounting / finance preferred.
3-4 years in Finance function activities or similar required.
Previous experience in a Shared Service Centre environment within Insurance Industry preferred.
Transaction processing experience required.
Fluency in English speaking, reading and writing
Exposure to working on AS400, Sun System & PeopleSoft would be an advantage
Good knowledge of MS Office applications, especially Word and Excel required
Ability to perform tasks on multiple computer applications
Good logical, analytical and problem solving abilities
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to handle process escalations, identify issues and risks and propose resolution
Ability to multi-task and prioritize work
Ability to work harmoniously as part of a team
