Hyderabad University M.Tech Student gets Rs. 47 lakh package, Highest so far

Chinmayee Mohapatra, a recent Master of Technology-Information Technology (MTech-IT) graduate from the University of Hyderabad’s (UoH) School of Computer and Information Sciences, has landed an amazing job as a software engineer at ServiceNow, earning Rs. 47 lakhs per year. This accomplishment marks a watershed milestone in UoH’s placement history, with the highest package to date.

According to UoH, ServiceNow’s rigorous selection process included three phases: two technical reviews and a final round focused on system design and behavioral components. According to UoH, Chinmayee’s performance reflects the university’s commitment to offering high-quality education and training, allowing its graduates to compete in the corporate world.

Chinmayee acknowledged her delight, adding, “I am overjoyed to share my recent accomplishment of landing a software engineer position at ServiceNow. I am deeply grateful to our university’s Placement Guidance and Advisory Bureau (PGAB), particularly Chairman Salman Abdul Moiz and Training and Placement Officer Prerna Akhouri, for their unwavering support.”

Salman Abdul Moiz, a professor at the University of Hyderabad, praised Chinmayee’s performance, saying, “It’s an encouraging sign for all of us at the university that students like Chinmayee are able to secure prestigious placements despite the challenges posed by the current job market in IT companies.”

BJ Rao, vice chancellor of the University of Hyderabad, praised Chinmayee and thanked the computer and information sciences school and the placement office for their contributions to students’ success in securing positions at prestigious companies.
