IAF Recruitment 2024: The Indian Air Force (IAF) is inviting applications from desired, well-motivated, and eligible candidates for Grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in Flying Branch and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) Branches. In accordance with the official notification of IAF Recruitment 2024, there are a total of 336 vacancies open for the aforementioned role. Candidated selected at the rank of Flying Officer will be offered a Pay as per Defence Matrix of Rs.56100 to 177500 in Level 10 (MSP – Rs.15500). For Ground Duty (Technical) Branches, the training will be valid for 62 weeks, and for Ground Duty (Non-Technical) Branches, it will be good for 52 weeks. selection of eligible candidates will be done based on an online test for AFCAT Entry at various centres.
As indicated in the official notification of IAF Recruitment 2024, the application fee for registering for the online test is Rs.550 + GST. Candidates who are applying for the NCC Special Entry are not required to pay any shot of the application fees. Chosen applicants will need to undergo training which will commence from the first week of January 2026 for all the courses. Candidates applying for the opportunity are compulsory to be aged between 20 to 24 years for the Flying Branch and between 20 to 26 years for Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) Branches.
