ICAI Postpones CA Examinations in Kathmandu Due to Ongoing Protests

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has recently released an important announcement regarding the CA exams. Due to the current protest situation in Nepal, the ICAI has decided to postpone the CA exams that were scheduled to be held on September 9 and 10, 2025, in Kathmandu, Nepal, only.

The ICAI will soon announce the new dates for these postponed exams. Also, students must note that other information, as specified by ICAI in its important Announcement dated May 30, 2025, will be the same.

Recently, the Prime Minister of Nepal, KP Sharma Oli, resigned after widespread public outrage over the killing of 22 protesters during clashes with police at an anti-corruption rally. The protestors also set fire to the parliament in the capital, Kathmandu. Most of these protestors are Gen Z. Due to these current issues, it is not possible to hold the CA exams.
