ICAI Postpones CA Final and Intermediate Exams in Kathmandu (Nepal) Amid Protests, Revised Dates to Be Announced Soon
The Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAI), set up by an act of parliament, has recently made an official announcement [No. 13-CA (EXAM)/SEPTEMBER/2025/V], dated September 10, 2025, regarding the postponement of the Chartered Accountants Final and Intermediate Examinations, September 2025, in Kathmandu (Nepal) only.
The current announcement is in continuation of an earlier important announcement of No. 13-CA (EXAM)/SEPTEMBER/2025/IV, dated September 08, 2025. In consideration of the recent widespread protests in Nepal, the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAI) has postponed the Chartered Accountants (CA) Final and Intermediate Examinations, which were scheduled to be held on the 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th, and 15th of September 2025, only in Kathmandu (Nepal).
The postponed examination dates will be announced soon in the coming days. The authority has clarified that the significant details announced via the important announcement dated May 30, 2025, as updated on the official website at www.icai.org, will remain unchanged. Students must note that no revisions have been introduced in the dates for the Chartered Accountants Examinations, which were announced earlier with respect to other cities/countries/centres.
