Post Name and Vacancies for IRCTC Recruitment 2023:

As mentioned in the official notification of IRCTC recruitment 2023, the vacancy is open for the posts of Hospitality Monitor and Tourism Monitor. There are a total of 54 vacancies for the given post.

1- Hospitality Monitor- 48

2- Tourism Monitor- 06

The selected candidates may be posted in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, & Karnataka. However, candidates may be deployed/posted anywhere in India at the discretion of IRCTC.

Age Limit for IRCTC Recruitment 2023:

In accordance with the official notification of IRCTC recruitment 2023, the upper age limit is 28 years.

Age relaxation will be given to SC/ ST/ OBC/ PwBD / ExServiceman applicants as per Government guidelines. The upper age is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST applicants, by 3 years for OBC applicants and by 10 years for PwBD applicants. Ex-Service Men – Up to the extent of service rendered in defense plus 3 yrs.

Salary for IRCTC Recruitment 2023:

According to the official notification of IRCTC recruitment 2023, the selected candidates will be given a monthly salary as given below-

For Hospitality Monitor- 

• The selected candidates will be given a monthly salary of Rs. 30000 including Statutory deductions and other allowances as applicable.

For Tourism Monitor-

• The selected candidates will be given a monthly salary of Rs. 30000 (for 1 year of work experience) including Statutory deductions and other allowances as applicable.
• The selected candidates will be given a monthly salary of Rs. 35000 (for 2 years of work experience)  including Statutory deductions and other allowances as applicable.

Qualification for IRCTC Recruitment 2023:

Candidates applying for IRCTC recruitment 2023 must have the given below qualifications-

For Hospitality Monitor- 

1- Full-time B.Sc. in Hospitality and Hotel Administration from a Central or State Institute of Hotel Management ( CIHM/SIHM/PIHM) affiliated to the National Council of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHM&CT)/ UGC/AICTE/Government of India.

2- BBA/MBA (Culinary Arts) from Indian Culinary Institutes under the Ministry of Tourism.

3- B.Sc. Hotel Management and Catering Science from Government recognized Universities affiliated to UGC/AICTE/Government of India/State Government.

4- M.B.A (Tourism and Hotel Management) from Government recognized Universities affiliated with UGC/AICTE/Government of India/State Government.

Experience- Candidates with a minimum of 02 years experience in the relevant field will only be eligible to apply.

For Tourism Monitor-

1- 3-Years Bachelor degree in Tourism; or 3-Years bachelor degree in any stream + 1-year diploma in Travel & Tourism.

Experience– Minimum 01 year of working experience in Tour Operation / Travel Agency Firms.

2- 3-years Bachelor Degree in any stream + 2-years Post Graduation Degree/Diploma in Travel & Tourism.

Experience- Minimum 02 years of working experience in Tour Operation / Travel Agency Firms.

Selection Procedure for IRCTC Recruitment 2023:

Candidates will be selected on the basis of interview and medical fitness. Candidates can appear for an interview at any convenient place only.

The completed application form has to be submitted at the venue of the interview for verification along with original documents, one set of attested copies of requisite documents and two recent passport-size photographs. An interview will be conducted and based on the credentials & performance in the personal interview the candidates will be shortlisted.
