Overview:

GE is looking for financial planning and analysis- Selling, general & administrative Analyst at Karnataka. The role requires in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others and working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market. The candidate will also be responsible for providing financial planning, analysis and reporting for Grid HQ FP&A SG&A activities.

Roles and responsibilities:

The ideal candidate should be able to:

• Lead close, planning cycles including Strategy, Budget, Forecasting
• Ensure accuracy of supplemental data submissions and reporting
• Prepare variance analysis to explain key drivers.
• Lead company level pacing cycles, ensuring timeliness and accuracy of submissions.
• Identify and communicate changes and associated drivers.
• Lead monthly and quarterly closing and reporting processes, ensuring accuracy of financials & timely reporting.
• Develop Lean capabilities, learn techniques and tools.
• Lead Lean projects and initiatives to drive process improvement, simplification and build standard work.
• Identify opportunities to digitize and eliminate manual, non-value-added work. Partner and support business teams, coach and share knowledge.
• Prepare and present analysis of Actuals performance
• Prepare narrative and detailed explanation driving the variance
• Communicate complex messages to others.
• Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
• Lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements.
• Explain difficult or sensitive information
• Work to build consensus.
• Develop persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within field.
• Impact approaches, projects and programs in the functional area or affected business organization and ways of working.
• Impact quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of own team.
• Work within broad guidelines and policies, roles at this level have moderate autonomy, requiring high levels of evaluative judgment.
• Use judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems that impact the function.

• Use technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations.

The ideal candidate should also have:

• Experience working in a global business environment with sound understanding of global process and transactional flows
• Graduate of GE’s Financial Management Program (FMP) or graduate of other
• Strong analytic skills
• Clear thinking / problem solving: successfully led cross-functional projects/process improvement within operations/finance
• Excellent communication skills: experience working across multiple levels (including executive level), functions and regions; able to clearly communicate complex financial information in an easy to understand manner, able to deliver message effectively verbally and in writing
• Solid PC skills: experience with financial systems and applications,
• Excel skills in data aggregation and compilation
• Fluency in English
• Confidence/Assertiveness: influencing skills, ability to deliver tough messages, confidence to approach business leaders and defend position
• Adaptability/flexibility
• Integrity : Accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical, and personal values

Eligibility:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration or equivalent experience
• GE business FP&A experience is a plus.
• Strong experience in progressive finance roles
• Strong Excel skills to create model for planning and analysis
• Ability to work effectively with operation teams to drive results and enable growth.
