LIC Warns its Customers Against Fraud Calls
The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has warned its policyholders in a public notice against fraud calls, phishing scams, and fake calls. It has advised the customers to stay alert and not to share any personal or financial information with unknown persons or sources.
The insurance company has stated that it never reaches out to its customers through calls, SMS, messages, emails or WhatsApp regarding the verification of KYC (Know Your Customers) details. Customers are advised not to share their important policy or banking details if they receive unexpected calls, messages, or emails asking for such information. It has urged customers to avoid answering any suspicious calls or messages, as these types of messages could be from scammers trying to scam people by promising fake bonuses or unrealistically high financial benefits.
