Max Healthcare Faces NCLT Proceedings Over Kalinga Hospital; Next Hearing Scheduled for Sept 28:

Max Healthcare has disclosed that the NCLT Cuttack Bench has directed it and other respondents to file replies in the BRS Capital proceedings involving subsidiary Kalinga Hospital.
Kalinga Hospital to File Replies in BRS Capital Case

Max Healthcare Institute Limited has disclosed an update to the stock exchange regarding the legal proceedings before the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), Cuttack Bench, involving Kalinga Hospital Ltd. (KHL), a subsidiary of the company. The proceedings were initiated by the legal representatives of BRS Capital Two Pte. Limited (BRS Capital) against KHL, its other shareholder from whom Max Healthcare acquired a majority stake, and Max Healthcare itself.
Following the earlier petitions filed by BRS Capital’s legal representatives, further interlocutory petitions were filed before the NCLT seeking certain interim reliefs. The petitions were taken up for hearing on September 8, 2026.
During the hearing, the NCLT directed the respondents, including Max Healthcare, to file their replies, if any, within one week. The next hearing in the matter has been scheduled for September 28, 2026.
Max Healthcare stated that it received a copy of the NCLT’s order dated September 10, 2026, at 4:42 PM (IST). The company clarified that the matter does not involve litigation against its key management personnel, promoter or ultimate person in control. It also stated that there has been no settlement of the proceedings so far and, therefore, no compensation or penalty has been paid, and no impact on the company’s financial position has been reported.
Max Healthcare Institute Limited has made the aforementioned disclosure to the National Stock Exchange of India Limited (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange Limited (BSE) vide an Intimation dated September 11, 2026, in pursuance of Regulation 30 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
