MCA amends Companies CSR Policy Rules: Notifies e-form CSR-1
The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) issued a notification (G.S.R. 452(E)) dated 07.07.2025 introducing key amendments to the Companies (Corporate Social Responsibility Policy) Rules, 2014. The changes are as follows:
- These rules will be known as the Companies (Corporate Social Responsibility Policy) Amendment Rules, 2025.
- These rules will be applicable from July 14th, 2025.
- In the Companies (Corporate Social Responsibility Policy) Rules, 2014, e-form CSR-1 will be replaced by the new e-form CSR-1. The entities that undertake Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities on behalf of companies are required to register with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) by filing CSR-1.
