MCA Extends Deadlines, Reopens Cancelled Forms After Data Centre Fire The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has announced relief measures for companies and LLPs affected by disruptions caused by the fire incident at the MCA21 Data Centre on June 5, 2026. The decision has been taken to reduce difficulties faced by stakeholders while restoration and capacity enhancement work is underway.
MCA Gives Relief on DPT-3 Filing Deadline After Data Centre Fire
Under the relief package, the validity of approved company and LLP name reservations that are scheduled to expire between June 21 and June 30, 2026, will automatically be extended until July 10, 2026. For name reservations that had already expired between June 5 and June 20, 2026, stakeholders can request an extension up to July 10 by raising a ticket with the MCA Helpdesk on or before June 30, 2026. Such requests will be reviewed individually after verification and confirmation that the approved name is still available. The MCA has also extended deadlines for the resubmission of e-forms. If the last date for resubmission falls between June 21 and June 30, 2026, the deadline will automatically be extended to July 10, 2026. For e-forms whose resubmission deadlines expired between June 5 and June 20, 2026, stakeholders can seek an extension by submitting a request to the MCA Helpdesk by June 30, 2026. In cases where forms were cancelled due to non-resubmission during this period, MCA may reopen them after verification, allowing resubmission up to July 10, 2026.
