Ministry of Corporate Affairs Amends Companies Act Form GNL-1
The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has recently released an official notification dated 30th May, 2025, regarding some rules further added to amend the Companies (Registration Offices and Fees) Rules, 2014 by the Central Government of India, in exercise of its powers granted under sections 396,398,399, 403 and 404 read with sub-sections (1) and (2) of section 469 of the Companies Act, 2013 (18 of 2013), specifically:
(1) These rules will be called the Companies (Registration Offices and Fees) Amendment Rules, 2025.
(2) These amendments will be made effective from July 14, 2025.
In the Annexure to the Companies (Registration Offices and Fees) Rules, 2014, the current Form GNL-1 will be replaced with the new form shown below.
The official notification states, "In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 396,398,399, 403 and 404 read with sub-sections (1) and (2) of section 469 of the Companies Act, 2013 (18 of 2013), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Companies (Registration Offices and Fees) Rules, 2014."
