The Eligibility Criteria and Experience for the Chief Vigilance Officer post are below.

• Candidates belonging to Organized Group-A services drawing their pay in the scale of Senior Administrative Grade (SAG) in their cadres (Functional/Non-Functional) will be eligible.
• Candidates having working experience in technical disciplines of Group-A engineering disciplines of railways will be preferred.
• Candidates with experience handling various preventive and punitive measures in the detection, and punishment of corruption and other malpractices are preferable.
