GST SCN: National Fertilizers Receives 116.01 crores GST Refund Recovery Demand
National Fertilizers Limited (NFL), a Government of India company, has received a huge GST refund recovery claim demand from the office of Central GST. The disclosure was made under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
NFL received a Show Cause Notice dated June 26, 2025, from the Additional Commissioner of Central Tax, Guntur, related to GST (Goods and Services Tax) refund claims for the financial year April 2022 to March 2023. The tax department has claimed that the NFL wrongly received GST refunds under the Inverted Tax Structure.
However, as per the latest disclosure made by the company, the company has received the refund recovery claim and penalty from the Additional Commissioner, Office of the Commissioner of Central Tax. The tax demand is Rs 116.01 crores.
NFL has clearly mentioned that the above notice will not affect the financial and operational activities of the company. The company is currently reviewing the notice and plans to file an appeal with the tax authorities.
