NEET MDS 2024 Aspirants Demand Exam Postponement: Ministry Gives Major Update On Exam Centre
The National Board of Examinations (NBE) is gearing up to unveil the admit cards for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Master of Dental Surgery (NEET MDS) 2024. The awaited admit cards are slated for release tomorrow, March 15, exclusively on the official website (natboard.edu.in).
However, amidst the anticipation, the Supreme Court is set to convene a postponement hearing regarding NEET MDS on the same day, March 15. Speculations are made that if the Supreme Court announces a deferment of the NEET MDS 2024 examination, the release of the admit cards might face delays.
Currently scheduled for March 18, NEET MDS 2024 has drawn considerable attention from aspirants who have petitioned the apex court against the central government’s decision not to postpone the exam date. In response, various student unions and aspirants have initiated social media campaigns and have been sending letters urging authorities to reschedule NEET MDS 2024 to July.
In a notice dated March 7, the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) announced an extension of the Internship cut-off date to June 30, 2024, along with reopening the registration window for interested candidates.
Dispelling recent media reports, the Ministry of Health has refuted claims of the absence of NEET MDS examination centers in the Northeastern states. Through an announcement on Platform X, the Ministry clarified, “Contrary to some media reports, NEET MDS examination centers do exist in the northeastern states.” The clarification emphasized the presence of exam centers in Shillong, Naharlagun, Kohima, Aizawl, Guwahati, and Kolkata. Aspirants are advised to stay updated through the official website and await the direct link to the admit cards upon release.
