New GSTN chairman appointed

Dr.Ajay Bhushan Pandey has been appointed as the 2nd GSTN chairman to take up the additional charge with immediate effect.He is appointed in the place of Navin Kumar who was the first chairman of Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN) who retired from the office on 29th August,2017. GSTN(Goods and Services Tax Network) is a private limited company u/s 8 of new companies Act(not-for-profit companies & a non-government company).The company was incorporated on 28th March, 2013 (with the GOI holding 24.5% equity) It was and set up primarily to provide IT infrastructure and services to the central and state governments, taxpayers and other stakeholders for implementation of the GST. Dr. Hasmukh Adhia,Revenue Secretary tweeted : - " He brings with him his vast experience of implementing complex IT projects. I welcome him to the Team GST of Revenue deptt." and"Dr Ajay Bhushan Pande will hold charge of chairman GSTN in place of Navin Kumar who retired recently. He is DG UIDAI (Aadhar)."

GSTR 1, GSTR 2, GSTR 3, Due date Extended for July and Aug 2017

Dr. Ajay Bhushan Pandey was appointed as CEO at UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) with effect from 12th July,2016. Hehas been heading UIDAI which administers the Aadhaar projectsince its inception in 2010. He is an electrical engineer from IIT Kanpur (1978-1983), then he went to the University of Minnesota in 1998, from where he obtained his MS and PhD degrees in Computer Science (1998-2004). He is also an officer of Indian Administrative Service from the Maharashtra cadre 1984 batch.
