NID Recruitment 2022: The National Institutes of Design or NID, are considered a group of autonomous public design universities in India, with the primary institute, founded in 1961, in Ahmedabad. The NIDs operate autonomously under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. Applications are accepted from Indian eligible candidates for recruitment to the following teaching, non-teaching, and technical positions.
The posts that are vacant in the National Institutes of Design include Principal Designer, Senior Designer, Principal Technical Instructor, Faculty, Associate Senior Technical Instructor, Associate Senior Design Instructor, Technical Instructor, Design Instructor, Supervisor (Electrical), Technical Assistant, and Assistant. There are a total of 26 vacant seats for which any eligible candidate will be able to apply to get recruited.
The institute might offer appointments for the vacant posts on a contract or on a deputation basis or on a direct recruitment basis based on the suitability of the candidate, and the contract may be a pure term contract with specified tenure on consolidated pay or on a pay scale.

For Principal Designer: Post Graduate Degree/ Post Graduate Diploma In Design from a recognized University/ reputed Institution. In addition, the candidate should have a minimum of 10 years of experience working in the relevant field of Design and should be holding Analogous Posts on a regular basis in the parent cadre or department, at least 5 years of service in the grade pay of Rs. 7600/-(Pay Level-12). He/she should be with Design background working as an Assistant Professor/ equivalent, preferably in design/ fashion technology or similar institutions.
For Senior Designer: Post Graduate Degree/ Post Graduate Diploma in Design from a recognized University/ reputed Institution
Minimum 10 years of work experience in the relevant field of Design b) Holding Analogous Posts on a regular basis in the parent cadre or department, at least 5 years of experience in the grade pay of Rs.6600/ (Pay Level-11), Design background working experience as Assistant Professor/equivalent preferably in design/ fashion technology or similar institutions.
For Principal Technical Instructor: Degree/ Diploma in Engineering/ Technology from a recognized University, Minimum 7 years of work experience in the relevant field of Technology/ Engineering, Holding Analogous Posts on a regular basis in the parent cadre or department, with at least 5 years in the grade pay of Rs.5400/ (Pay Level-10), and With Design background working as Senior Technical Instructor/ Faculty Associate/ Sr Design Associate/ equivalent, preferably in design/ fashion technology or similar institutions.
For Faculty: Degree/ Diploma in Design from the recognized University/ reputed Institution, Minimum 5 years of work experience in the relevant field of Design b) Holding Analogous Posts on a regular basis in the parent cadre or department with at least 5 years as Faculty/ Teaching Associate d) With Design background working as Technical Instructor/ Faculty Associate/ Design Associate/, preferably in design/ fashion technology or similar institutions.
For Associate Senior Technical Instructor: A Degree or Diploma in the relevant subject from a recognized institution, four years of relevant work experience in case of degree holders, or 6 years of work experience in case of diploma holder in the relevant field.
