Notification No. 1/2017UNION TERRITORY TAX

Notification no.1/2017 UTGST - Provisions of GST will come into force on 22.06.17

Ministry of Finance has notified vide notification no.1/2017 dated 21st June, 2017 regarding a few provisions which will come into effect on 22.06.17. Central government has been given this powers u/s 1(3) of the Union TerritoryGoods and Services Tax Act, 2017.Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 17, 21 and section 22 shall come into force on an appointed date. The appointed date notified for this by Central Government is 22nd June, 2017 .

G.S.R. 616(E).In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 1 of the Union Territory Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 (14 of 2017), the Central Government hereby appoints the 22nd day of June, 2017, asthe date on which the provisions of sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 17, 21 and section 22 of the said Act shall come into force.
