Notification No. 3/2017 Union Territory Tax

Notification no.3/2017 UTGST - Provisions of GST will come into force on 01.07.17

Ministry of Finance has notified vide notification no.3/2017 dated 28th June, 2017 regarding a few provisions which will come into effect on 01.07.17. Central government has been given this powers u/s 1(3) of the Union TerritoryGoods and Services Tax Act, 2017.Sections 6 to 16, 18 to 20 and section 23 to 26 shall come into force on an appointed date. The appointed date notified for this by Central Government is 1st July,2017.

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) ofsection 1 of the Union Territory Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 (14 of2017), the Central Government hereby appoints the 1st day of July, 2017, as thedate on which the provisions of sections 6 to 16, 18 to 20 and 23 to 26 of thesaid Act shall come into force.
