NTPC Recruitment 2023: NTPC is launching a Special Recruitment Drive for experienced Scheduled Tribe candidates to be appointed for the Post of Engineer (Operations) and Assistant Chemist as per the newly notified NTPC Recruitment 2023. The selected candidate will be placed at Pay Scale up to Rs. 50,000 – 1,60,000 (E2 grade) at the basic pay of Rs. 50,000. There are a total of 06 vacancies for the Posts including 03 vacancies for Engineer (Operations) and 03 vacancies for the role of Assistant Chemist.

The age of candidate should be below 35 years to be eligible for the Posts.
For the Post of Engineer (Operations)
(Discipline: Electrical)
Qualification: The candidate shall hold a Degree in Engineering in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics / Electrical, Instrumentation & Control / Power Systems & High Voltage / Power Electronics / Power Engineering from a recognized University/ Institution.
Experience: He/she should hold a Minimum 05 years post qualification executive experience (excluding training period, if any) in Operation/ Maintenance /Erection / Construction /Engineering in Thermal or Gas Power Plant.
For the Post of Assistant Chemist
Qualification: The candidate shall hold an M.Sc. in Chemistry from a recognized University /Institute.
Experience: Minimum 01-year post-qualification experience (excluding training period, if any) in Water Treatment Plant process and water analysis (RO plant, DM plant, pre-treatment plant, etc.), Boiler water chemistry (boiler water treatment & analysis of chemical parameters), and Knowledge of Cooling water treatment, Bulk Chemical analysis, knowledge of analytical instruments (like spectrophotometer, Ion chromatography, Gas chromatography), Coal sampling and analysis, Oil analysis. Should have knowledge of environmental parameter testing, monitoring, and management. Candidates with experience in power plants will be given added advantage.
The candidate selected for the Post of Engineer (Operations) will be placed at Rs. 50,000 – 1,60,000 (E2 grade) at the basic pay of Rs. 50,000.
The candidate to be selected for the Post of Assistant Chemist will be placed at Rs. 30,000 – 1,20,000 (E0 grade) at the basic pay of Rs. 30,000.
