OPTCL Recruitment 2023: The Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Limited (OPTCL) is seeking online applications from qualified applicants for the position of Management Trainee (Electrical). According to the official notification for OPTCL Recruitment 2023 official notification, the minimum age limit to apply for this post is 21 years. The maximum age limit is 32 years. There are a total of 50 vacancies available in various categories. Candidates will have to undergo one year of training and after that, they will receive the pay scale of Pay Matrix of Rs.56100 to Rs.177500 (Level EE-2) with Initial Basic Pay of Rs.56100.

According to the official notification for OPTCL recruitment 2023 official notification, candidates applying for this post must possess the essential qualifications as mentioned below:
Candidates should have a Degree in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering with at least 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized University / Institution or Passing of Section-A&B of IE (India) in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Candidates must have secured at least 60% marks or an equivalent CGPA. The minimum percentage of marks required for SC/ST/PwBD candidates is 50%.
Note: The reference date to determine the essential qualification eligibility is the last date of online application form submission, i.e., 16th May 2023.
As per the OPTCL Recruitment 2023 official notification, the candidates must be at least 21 years of age to apply for this recruitment drive. The maximum age limit to apply for the released vacancy is 32 years. The reference date to calculate the age is 1st April 2023. Candidates belonging to various categories will be given age relaxation as follows:
SC/ST candidates: 05 years
SEBC candidates: 05 years
Women candidates: 05 years
Ex-Servicemen candidates: maximum 05 years
PwBD candidates: 10 years over and above category relaxation
In accordance with the OPTCL Recruitment 2023 official notification, the selected applicants will receive a stipend of Rs 50000 during the training period. After the successful completion of the training period of 01 years, the selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of Pay Matrix:-Rs. 56,100- Rs. 1,77,500 (Level EE-2) with Initial Basic Pay of Rs.56,100.
As per the details mentioned in the OPTCL Recruitment 2023 official notification, selected individuals will complete one year of training at OPTCL field units, including induction training at Power Training Centre (PTC), Chandaka, Bhubaneswar. Unless otherwise specified, the training term will be one year. The selected candidates will also have to serve the organization for at least 3 years after the training. They will be required to execute a service bond in a prescribed format for compulsory service of 03 years. The bond amount is Rs 3,00,000 plus GST, which is applicable to candidates from all categories.
According to the OPTCL Recruitment 2023 official notification, candidates will be selected on the basis of their marks in the GATE 2023 exam in the Electrical Paper and the interview performance. Candidates will be shortlisted for the interview based on the marks scored by them in GATE 2023 examination. The final merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in GATE 2023 and the interview.
