OSSC Recruitment 2022: Applications are invited online through the OSSC website www.ossc.gov.in for recruitment to the post of Junior Laboratory Assistant as “Initial Appointee” under the Director of Technical Education and Training, Odisha, Cuttack. The Total Number of Vacant posts is 64 which is Category wise divided.

A Candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and not be above the age of 38 as of 01.01.2022. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for candidates belonging to SEBC, SC, ST, and all women candidates. All eligible candidates have to register themselves by clicking on the “Apply Online” button on the home page of the Commission’s website www.ossc.gov.in. Candidates Must have their valid E-mail ID and Mobile number while applying for the post and keep the same active till the completion of this recruitment process so as to receive important messages from the Commission.

The pattern of Examination for OSSC Recruitment 2022

1. Stage – I

Main written Examination Based on Objective Type with Multiple Choice Answers. The Mark distribution is 400 marks ( 100 questions carrying 04 marks each) and the total duration of the exam is two hours. The examination will be of objective Type with multiple choice answers to be done on Computer Based Recruitment Examination (CBRE) mode/OMR. The Standard of question will be plus Two Science/Diploma Standard. There Should be negative marking @ one mark for each wrong answer.

2. Stage -II

Certificate Verification Based on the performance in the Main Written Examination candidates 02 Two times of the vacancies notified, in order of merit, category wise, and trade wise shall be shortlisted for verification of original certificates/documents. The candidates who do not attend the certificate verification on the date fixed by the commission their candidature shall not be taken into consideration for the preparation of the merit list.

Minimum Educational Qualification for OSSC Recruitment 2022

The Candidate in order to be eligible for appearing in the selection examination for the post must have passed.

1. Junior Laboratory Assistant (Branch) – Three Years regular Diploma in 1st Division in respective branches for Laboratory Asst(Branch) as detailed in Clause-2 (a) from AICTE approved Diploma Institutes or its equivalent.

2. Junior Laboratory Assistant (workshop) – Three Years regular Diploma in 1st Division Mechanical Engineering discipline from AICTE approved Diploma Institutes or its equivalent.

3. Junior Laboratory Assistant (Physics) and Junior Laboratory Assistant (Chemistry) – B.Sc. in Physics Hons. (PCM) from a recognized University or its equivalent with 1st Division for Laboratory Assistant (Physics)/ B.Sc in Chemistry Hons (PCM) from a recognized University or its equivalent with 1st Division for Laboratory Assistant (Chemistry).

Place and Date of Written Examination for OSSC Recruitment 2022

1. Tentative date for the Preliminary written examination will be December 2022. The Exact Date, Time, and Venue will be conveyed in due course through the Notice and Admission Letter.

2. The Date, Time and Venue for the Main Written Examination/Certificate Verification will be conveyed to the candidates in the Admission Letter(s) in due course. The Admission Letters can be downloaded by the eligible candidates by accessing the Commission’s website from time to time.

Note – Candidates belonging to Transgender Community are also eligible to apply. The Special Category candidates shall be shortlisted/selected as per their position in the Merit List of the Particular Special Category and will be allotted to the branch as per his/her educational qualification.
