PM Internship Scheme 2025: Hurry up! Few Days Left for Registration
The Prime Minister Internship Scheme (PMIS) has opened for applications and will close soon. The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) is inviting applications from eligible candidates. Candidates who want to apply for the internship scheme can apply through the official website at pminternship.mca.gov.in. The last date for registration is March 12, 2025.
The PM Internship Scheme is an initiative by the government that was introduced by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in the Union Budget 2024-25. It is designed for Indian youth and allows them to gain hands-on experience in the professional world. The selected candidates will be placed in the top 500 companies in India under this scheme. The scheme aims at equipping the youth with the right knowledge and skills to enhance their career aspects.
The scheme also offers a monthly stipend of Rs.5000 for the entire internship period of 12 months. Initially, the company will pay a monthly payment of Rs.500, based on the intern’s performance, attendance and good conduct. After the company makes its initial payment of Rs.500, the Government of India will transfer the balance amount of Rs. 4500 to the intern’s Aadhaar-linked bank account. In addition to the monthly stipend, the interns will also get a one-time grant of Rs.6000 from the government on enrolling. This will also be transferred to the intern’s bank account.
Each intern will be covered by insurance under two government schemes: the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (a life insurance scheme) and the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (an accidental insurance scheme). The premiums will be paid by the government. Additionally, the company where the intern works may also provide extra accidental insurance coverage for the intern. This ensures that the intern is financially protected in case of any unexpected events during the internship.
