RBI Releases Publication of Handbook of Statistics on the Indian Economy 2024-25

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on August 29, 2025, released the 27th edition of its publication called “Handbook of Statistics on the Indian Economy 2024-25 (HBS). The handbook has detailed data on a range of macroeconomic and financial variables. The book is helpful for the analysts, researchers and students who want to track the economic progress of India.

The latest edition has been released earlier than the scheduled date and contains 244 statistical tables on macroeconomic and financial data like national income, prices, money, banking, markets, public finances, foreign trade, balance of payments, and select socio-economic indicators.

Those who want to get access to the RBI publication can visit the RBI’s Data portal, Database on Indian Economy (DBIE). The RBI had earlier launched its RBIDATA app, which also offers easy access to macroeconomics and financial data. The app gives access to over 11,000 data series from the DBIE. This year, 8,090 new data series have been added.
