The National Testing Agency (NTA) declared the NEET UG Result 2024 yesterday, i.e., 4th June 2024 on its official website – exams.nta.ac.in. The result was declared 10 days ahead of schedule. The general election results for 2024 also fell on the same date as the NEET UG results.

Numerous medical candidates have been calling for a retake of the NEET exam in 2024, citing claims of paper leaks, the last-minute addition of grace marks for tardiness, and inaccuracies in the outcomes of the NEET exam. The NEET grace marks were given to students who expressed concerns about losing exam time, the National Testing Agency (NTA) said on Tuesday night. Nonetheless, student have voiced their displeasure, claiming that the NTA statement lacks clarity.

NTA statistics show that a total of 9,96,393 male candidates, 13,31,321 female candidates, and 17 transgender candidates took the exam. Although 96.94 % of candidates attended overall, male candidates attended 96.22 % of the event, female candidates attended 96.06 %, and transgender candidates attended 94.44 %.

There have also been reports of NEET irregularities in Gujarat and Odisha. A criminal case has been filed against three people in Gujarat’s Godhra district, including a school teacher, for allegedly assisting six NEET candidates in cracking the question paper in exchange for Rs 10 lakh from each candidate. One of the examinees paid an advance fee of Rs 7 lakh to the teacher, which the police seized.

Grace Marks for NEET 2024

The NTA released a statement outlining how some students received 718 and 719 scores out of 720 hours after the NEET results were announced. The NTA clarified that the choice to grant grace marks was made in accordance with the court’s directive to make up for lost exam time.

“The amount of exam time lost was calculated, and these candidates received grace marks as payment. The NTA stated in a recent tweet that the candidate’s scores might possibly be 718 or 719.

Paper Leak for NEET 2024

A social media video with a masked individual asserting that the person responsible for the leak of the BPSC TRE 3 test paper may also be the source of the NEET UG questions went viral just days before the biggest national medical entrance exam. The NTA did not, however, provide an official statement or explanation on this matter. “Baseless allegations,” the testing agency later described it as.

NEET Irregularities

Some students claimed that information about the contestants’ marks in each category was included in the NEET result 2024 notice. But later on, it was taken down. Additionally, they contended that it is “unfair” to offer grace marks at the last minute.

Additionally, students have begun to seek “the Apex Court order dated 13.06.2018,” which served as the foundation for awarding grace marks.

NEET Toppers 2024

Candidates have also voiced their concerns regarding the NEET toppers who received the highest scores in the exam despite having the identical roll number sequence. “Eight #NEET Candidates topped from the same centre, with the same sequence beginning with 2307010168, 333, 403, 460, 178, 037, 186, and 198.”
