Overview:

Rolls Royce is hiring an experienced Manager – S&BD at their New Delhi location. The Global Strategy & Business Development team is responsible for the formulation and implementation of Rolls-Royce’s vision and strategy, centred around the annual strategic planning process and key strategic initiatives. Working closely with our three business units, we lead industry and market understanding and use the art and science of strategy to provide solutions to complex business problems.

What will you be doing:

Analyze the external business and competitive environment and develop appropriate models, analyses and “stories” to support and inform strategy development and develop organization awareness.

Manage programs that support the identification/creation, development and deployment of business strategies that meet overall business goals.

Facilitate successful strategy execution through effective internal and external communication, leadership and program management and manage the effective handover of this activity to implementation teams as appropriate.

Identifying and exploiting inter-business, inter-sector and overall company opportunities in the formulation of new business strategies (e.g. inorganic options, economic development etc).

Provide Business Development and Strategy functional expertise and best practice and contribute to ongoing functional process improvement.

As appropriate, lead and manage a team of Business Development and Strategy personnel and others, or lead cross-functional integrated product teams (IPTs).

Qualifications for this Job:

Educated to a degree level in scientific, business, or analytical fields.

Experience of working in professional services (e.g management consultancy) or industrial company desirable, senior management (Including C suite).

Ability to understand and synthesize complex systems, relate and apply abstract concepts to practical implications and to prioritize and justify strategic choices and communicate this effectively.

Ability to lead small collaborative cross-functional and internal/external teams to achieve goals.

Good financial and business acumen. Understanding of and a keen interest in one or several of our core markets (power, aerospace defense) as well as finance, technology, macroeconomics, and geopolitics.
