RPSC Recruitment 2022: Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has invited Applications from Candidates fulfilling the Eligibility for the Post of Food Safety Officer (FSO) in the Medical and Health Services(MHS) Department.

The Eligible Candidates from amongst Candidates are deemed to have met the Eligibility Criteria for the Food Safety officer Post in the Department of Medical and Health Services. Selection Process for RPSC Recruitment 2022

Selection to the Post of Food Safety Officer will comprise 02 Stages; i.e., Stage I: a Common Computer-Based Recruitment Test (CBRT) with 150 Multiple Choice Questions of Objective-Type for a Maximum of 150 Marks and a Personal Interview (Stage II), yielding Final Merit List based on the Marks in both Selection Phases.

Examination Mode: Computer-Based Recruitment Test (CBRT)

Exam Duration: 2½ Hours (150 Minutes)

Rajasthan Public Service Commission shall host a Computer Based Recruitment Test for Food Safety officer. The Computer Based Recruitment Examination comprises 02 Parts with a Total 150 (Part A: 40 + Part B: 110) Objective-Type MCQs for Total of 150 Marks involving a Negative Marking @ 1/3rd or (0.33) Mark for each Incorrect Response or Multiple Answers.

Part-A: General Knowledge of Rajasthan: 40 Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions = 40 Marks AND Part-B: Concerned Subject: 110 Multiple Choice Questions of Objective-Type = 110 Marks

Educational Qualification: Eligible Candidates should have in possession the following Qualification(s):

(i) A degree in Food Technology or Dairy Technology or Biotechnology or Oil Technology or Agriculture Science or Veterinary Sciences or Bio-Chemistry or Microbiology or Masters’s Degree in Chemistry or a Degree in Medicine from a recognized University.
or any other equivalent/recognized qualification notified by the Central Government; and

(ii) has successfully completed training as specified by the Food Authority in a recognized institute or institution approved for the purpose:

(Note:- There is no requirement for training prior to selection. This training shall be provided to the selected candidates during the probation period.)
Provided that no person who has any financial interest in the manufacture, import or sale of any article of food shall be appointed to be a Food Safety Officer under these rules.

2. Working knowledge of Hindi written in Devnagari Script and knowledge of Rajasthan Culture.

Age Limit: General Merit Candidates should be Minimum 20 Years and should not Exceed (Maximum) 40 Years. The Upper Age Limits are relaxable for Reserved Community Candidates.

iii) Rajasthan State Other Backward Class (NCL)/Extremely Backward Class/Economically Weaker Section: Rs.250.00

iv) Persons with Benchmark Disability/ies (PwBDs)/SCs/STs, whose Annual Income falls below Rs.2.50 Lac: Rs.150.00

v) SCs/STs under Tribal Sub-Plan (TSP) Area Inhabiting SCs/ST and Sahariya Primitives under all Tehsils of District Baran: Rs.150.00

Note: Post-Online Registration Editing or Modification Charges shall be levied @ Rs.500.00
