Essential Qualifications for RRB JE Recruitment

The essential educational qualification required to appear for various posts has been mentioned below:

Junior Engineer (JE): Diploma/Degree in Engineering in the relevant discipline 

Junior Engineer(Information Technology): PGDCA/B.Sc. (Computer Science)/BCA/B.Tech. (Information Technology)/B.Tech. (Computer Science)/DOEACC ‘B’ Level Course of 3 years duration or equivalent from a recognized university/institute.

Depot Material Superintendent: Diploma/Degree in Engineering from any discipline

Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant: Bachelor’s Degree in Science with Physics and Chemistry with a minimum of 45% marks.

Note: Candidates in the final year of their Degree/Diploma are not eligible to apply.

Age Limit for RRB JE Recruitment

The minimum age required to appear for the RRB JE recruitment examination is 18 years. The upper age limit for this exam is 33 years. candidates belonging to various reserved categories will be given age relaxations as per the rules and regulations of the Government of India.  

Exam Pattern for RRB JE Recruitment Examination:

The RRB JE Recruitment examination is conducted online at various centers across the country. The recruitment exam consists of a total 4 phases

1. RRB JE CBT-1
2. RRB JE CBT-2
3. Document Verification
4. Medical Examination

The first two phases are national-level computer-based tests (CBT). Candidates qualifying for the RRB JE CBT-1 will become eligible for the RRB JE CBT-2. Aspirants qualifying for the RRB JE CBT-2 will become eligible for the next phase, and so on. Only those candidates will be given appointment letters, who pass all four phases of the examination successfully.
